Sammy first came to Footprints with his teenage mother when he was just weeks old. He currently boards at Footprints Academy during term time and returns to his mother at her aunt's home for holidays. Sammy is a happy boy with lots of energy and loves to run and play outside with his friends.

Saumu is the oldest of four sisters that currently board at Footprints during the week as their father is blind and is unable to care for them full time. Saumu is the main carer for her three sisters when she is at home. She first came into Footprints care two years ago and had never been to school. Saumu is a very bright, ambitious girl. She is excellent at sport and her dream is to become a doctor. Saumu is also Footprints Academy's Head Girl
Fatuma (N) is the sister of Juma, Meali and Swaleh. They live in the local area and were identified by Footprints in 2023. They currently stay at Footprints during the week and return to their parents home on the weekend. Fatuma is in PP2 (pre-primary 2) at Footprints Early Years Academy. She is doing well at school and loves to dance.
Mwende is the sister of Sophia. They were identified by the local chief after their parents were killed. Mwende loves to dance, she is the lead dancer of the school dance group. She dreams of being a baker, so has been helping out in the kitchen at Footprints to learn.
Nicholas (Nico)Â was a new born baby when he was brought to us at Christmas time 7 years ago. He is extremely intelligent boy who loves learning.

Kapendenza is the youngest of four sisters (Saumu, Fatuma and Mwanauru) that currently board at Footprints during the week as their father is blind and is unable to care for them full time. Kapendenza is in grade one, she is very bright and loves reading.

She is in Grade 3 and loves learning and playing with her classmates.

Fatuma (M) is the second oldest of four sisters (Saumu, Mwanauru and Kapendenza) that currently board at Footprints during the week as their father is blind and is unable to care for them full time. Despite their difficult start in life, Fatuma is very bright, outgoing and funny. She enjoys being a member of the school dance group.
Rose was only weeks old when she came into Footprints' care. She is now in Grade 4 and is doing very well. Rose is a very bright girl, she loves dressing up and playing imaginative games
